Why Go?: Celebrate Fine Arts Month by visiting the gallery of art featuring local artists, listen to music performed by Adler faculty and students all in the historic home of architect David Adler.

Where / When: Lake County Fair Association, 1060 E. Peterson Rd., Grayslake ; 2 p.m.- 9 p.m., Friday, March 18; 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, March 19; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Sunday, March 20.

Why Go?: Everything for outdoor sports and recreation under one roof at the new state-of-the-art 65,000 square-foot building at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Fishing, camping and hunting gear, boats, cabin decor and much more.

Pricing: $7 for adults; free for children 12 and under

Why Go?: See the 1947 film Out of the Past starring Robert Mitchum and Kirk Douglas.

Why Go?: The theatre companies of Grayslake Central and Grayslake North High Schools perform their spring musical.

Why Go?: Over 20 downtown Libertyville merchants join together again offering special promotions and coupons, food, drinks and raffles all for the bridal market.

Why Go?: Shop at the booths of 200 talented crafters with unique and original hand-crafted items.

Where/When: , 350 McHenry Rd., Buffalo Grove; 9 p.m. - 2 a.m., Saturday, March 19.

Why Go?: The band Mid Life Crisis was formed in 2006 in Vernon Hills and has become one of Chicagoland's best party and dance bands. They play a variety of music from the 60s to today.

Pricing: $6

Where / When: ; 2 p.m., Sunday, March 20.

Why Go?: Hear traditional Japanese Koto music in honor of one of the happiest events in Japan-the end of winter and the coming of spring. The Koto is an instrument with 13 strings that sounds similar to a harp.
