Osama Bin Laden is Dead

Osama Bin Laden has been killed according to numerous news reports, ending a hunt that began nearly 10 years after the terrorist attacks on 9-11.

The Today Show featured family members of 9-11 victims who said they are happy that bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9-11 attacks, was finally brought to justice.

President Barak Obama addressed the nation late last night and confirmed that bin Laden was killed. He said that the "death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date" in the war on terror.

The New York Times reported that bin Laden was killed in a "targeted assault" by American forces. 

Spontaneous celebrations broke out at Ground Zero in New York City and in Washington D.C. Crowds chanted "U-S-A" and sang "God Bless America."
