"Polyp Man" Kicks Off Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital (NLFH) launched an education program to encourage the community to fight this deadly, yet very curable, disease.
Hospital employee Carlos Torres lead the charge as “Polyp Man” during the hospital’s colorectal cancer awareness kick-off events, which were held at NLFH locations in Grayslake, Lake Forest and Lindenhurst. Gastroenterology nurses were on hand to provide information packets and pass out ColoCare kits, which test for indications of the disease.
