Schneider, Dold Raise Over $300,000 Each

Rematch of 2012 10th Congressional District race is already looking expensive.

Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Deerfield) and his only announced opponent, former Rep. Robert Dold (R-Kenilworth), both reported raising more than $300,000 for their 2014 rematch of a close and hotly contested 2012 campaign.

Schneider raised $365,000 for the quarter ended Sept. 30 and now has $769,000 in the bank, according to a campaign spokesperson. Dold accumulated $318,000 for the same period and now has $819,000 on hand, according to a report in Roll Call.

This is the first financial reporting period where Schneider has brought in more than Dold.
