During times of loss and change, how do we as members of a religious community engage in spiritual regeneration? Other religions offer dramatic concepts like reincarnation or “being born again.” This service explores how rebirth might be conceived in Unitarian terms, what small deaths might evoke the need for renewal, and how our individual and collective rebirthing might manifest in our lives.
Nursery care is available for infants and children up to age
of 4, children ages 4 and up attend the beginning of the church service and
then go to religious education classes.
The speaker, Cathy Moon is a Professor and Program Director of the Master of Arts in Art Therapy program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as a member of PCUUC. Many years ago, she earned her Master of Arts degree in substance use counseling from Methodist Theological in Ohio, and since that time has continued to explore the intersections of spirituality, religion, and everyday life.
