Nature’s Feed in Spring Grove is celebrating five years in business this month with the grand opening of their NEW training center!

As Nature’s Feed enters their fifth year in business, they are excited to announce the grand opening of Nature’s Feed Educational & Wellness Center! Join them for an Open House celebration on Saturday, November 23rd from 9am - 3pm! Take a tour of their new training facility and meet the staff while you enjoy some refreshments and light snacks. Leashed, fur family members are welcome!

Since 2008, Nature’s Feed has become a trusted community resource for natural pet food, pet health products and nutritional knowledge as well as events such as pet nail clippings, pet adoptions and much more. They are now excited to offer positive, force free dog training, workshops and seminars at their NEW Nature's Feed Educational & Wellness Center. The Center is conveniently located adjacent to Nature’s Feed on Highview and lead by dog trainers Jennalee Bee, CPDT-KA and RoxanneTapaninen, KPA-CTP. All training is done in a positive, force free, fun environment. The philosophy of all classes are to teach self-control, build teamwork, provide effective communication and remain focused while using only positive force free techniques. All classes and workshops are geared to enhance the human/canine relationship. In teaching humans to effectively communicate with their canines, they are building trust and confidence for the canine in a positive, safe and fun manner. The six week training classes focus on puppy basics and socialization, canine basic manners, an advanced class and a Canine Good Citizen class. Class sizes are kept small; no more than 6 dogs to ensure you and your dog receive lots of attention. 2014 will offer many more classes, includinga "Kitty Socalization Class" and "Animal Communication Workshop." Any animal can be trained using positive reinforcement techniques. Jennalee Bee, CPDT-KA, has trained the store rabbit at Nature’s Feed and Roxanne Tapaninen, CTP-KP, is currently training a pig!

Nature’s Feed is located at 2440 Westward Drive, directly next door to the Spring Grove Post Office.  Training classes are held afternoons, evenings and Saturdays. Nature’s Feed can be reached at 815-675-2008, on the web at naturesfeed.net or find them on Facebook.
