Hit For Brains, the 2012 Home Run for Education Championship team, has registered in hopes of defending their title this year. This team, which includes D46 Superintendent Ellen Correll, Woodview teacher Kim Peterson, and team captain Shannon Smigielski, is sponsored by Platford Commercial Realty. Hit For Brains took the title last year after a hard-fought game against the second place Frederick School staff team, The Frederick Falcons.
The Frederick Falcons have also committed to return this year. Will there be a rematch between these teams? You’ll want to make sure you don’t miss it! Join us on Sept 14 for an incredibly fun day of friendly competition in support of our schools. Tournament games will be held in Central Park and on the Aquatic Park Softball field all day beginning at 9am. Food vendors will be on site for lunch.
