Major Saver’s Major Potential

Foundation46 has partnered with Major Saver to bring an exciting new fundraising opportunity to our community. Students throughout D46 are selling Major Saver cards.  Major Saver discount cards, which sell for just $10, feature buy one get one free offers from local businesses. Cardholders will present the cards when they visit the participating businesses to receive their special offer!

Now here’s the Major News about Major Saver: If all 3,900 students sell JUST ONE CARD, their efforts will raise nearly $20,000 in new revenue. How’s that for earning potential? To add to the economic benefit, card buyers have the opportunity to save roughly $100 by using the cards and our local businesses stand to see an increase in foot traffic and sales. What an amazing opportunity for our community to work together for our collective benefit!

Students can sell Major Saver cards through April 8th. They should bring any money they’ve collected back to school in their Major Saver envelopes on a daily basis. Once students turn in their envelopes in the morning, the money will be replaced with the cards purchased and the prizes the students have earned. This practice allows card buyers to receive their cards with minimum delay. The envelopes will be given back to the students at the end of each day so that they can keep selling more cards!

If a D46 student has not asked you to buy a card by April 8th, be sure to visit the Major Saver website to buy your card. 

Friends and family living in Major Saver communities in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Texas, Kansas and Missouri can buy cards for businesses in their neighborhood while benefitting our schools. Find other Major Saver communities here. Your out of town buyers will need the following information: child’s name, school, teacher and grade. 

The funds Foundation46 receives from Major Saver sales will be dispersed as follows:

20% to your child’s school
20% to Foundation46 initiatives
60% to iPads, apps and related professional development
