BORDERS TO HOST "BENEFIT DAYS" TO SUPPORT UNITED WAY OF LAKE COUNTY

November 19, 2010 (Gurnee, IL)—United Way of Lake County (UWLC) will be the beneficiary of Borders Benefit Days on Friday and Saturday, December 3rd and 4th. A percentage of sales at the Borders store at 6971 West Grand Avenue in Gurnee, as well as all online sales from borders.com, will be given to the UWLC during these designated days. A Borders Benefit Day voucher, available at www.uwlakeco.org/borders, must be present at the time of in-store purchases. For online purchases, shoppers will need to enter the voucher code UWLC1203V during the checkout process.

As the holiday season quickly approaches, Lake County residents are urged to come out to Borders for their holiday shopping and support United Way of Lake County in the process. In addition, shoppers can purchase books at Borders during the Benefit Days promotion to donate to Lake County children who have little or no books at home. Donations can be dropped off at UWLC's offices on 330 South Greenleaf Street in Gurnee.
