Another GNHS Student Earns Top ACT Score

Congratulations, Morgan!

Another Grayslake North High School student recently learned that she received the top score on the ACT.

Morgan Schneider, daughter of Robert and Sandra Schneider, earned a composite score of 36 on the test. According to a press release from GNHS, less than one-tenth of one percent of students who take the ACT receive a perfect score.

For example, among the 1.8 million students in the class of 2013 who took the test, just 1,162 received a composite score of 36.

"While test scores are just one of the many criteria that most colleges consider when making admission decisions, your exceptional ACT composite score should prove helpful as you pursue your education and career goals," ACT CEO John Whitmore wrote in a letter to Morgan.

According to a GNHS press release, the ACT includes English, math, reading and science, with each test scored on a scale from 1-36. The composite score is the average of the four test scores.

Morgan is a junior at GNHS. In October, the school announced that senior Pauline Moll received a 36 on the ACT.
