Bishop To Make Sunday Visit To Holy Cross In Lake Villa
All are invited to Holy Cross church in Lake Villa Sunday to share a visit with Bishop Alberto Morales of the Diocese of Quincy, Illinois.
Bishop Alberto Morales makes his pastoral visit Sunday to Holy Cross in Lake Villa. The visit begins at 9:30 a.m. at the church, 500 Park Av., Unit 102.
This Holy Cross Day celebration will include Eucharist, confirmation, and the sacrament of reaffirmation.
Morales will bless the Holy Cross Wall, which features a unique collection of new, old, homemade and unique crosses donated by church members and visitors.

All are invited to the luncheon reception after the service. Bishop Morales is the Bishop of the Diocese of Quincy, Illinois. The Diocese is affiliated with the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
The Bishop’s visit will also kick off a new monthly worship opportunity for the community. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. Holy Cross will offer Evensong services. Evensong is a short sung version of psalms, prayers and lessons. The Evensong service will be offered the third Thursday of each month.
