Five Ways to Volunteer in Grayslake Area

There are people and organizations who need the help of willing volunteers in the Grayslake area.
And Patch.com knows there are plenty of residents out there willing to lend a helping hand.
With that in mind, Patch.com has looked to volunteermatch.org., a website aimed at bringing "good people and causes together," for volunteer opportunities currently posted for the area. Here is a look at five of those opportunities:
- Spay and Stay in Grayslake is looking for volunteers to counsel cat caretakers, help trap cats, transport to vet clinics, as well as help us in other areas such as fundraisers. Read more on Volunteermatch.org.

- American Cancer Society, Lake County in Round Lake is looking for volunteers to drive cancer patients to chemotherapy treatment. The American Cancer Society is also looking for volunteers to serve on the 2014 Relay for Life Planning Committee.
- Comfort Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteer visitors in Round Lake and Vernon Hills.
- COVE Alliance in Mundelein is looking for volunteers who are skilled in communications and grant writers.
