Grayslake Central placed at No. 17 in the state cross country meet, held Nov. 9 in Peoria.
The state qualifiers were Jack Battaglia, Max Brunk, Kevin Orozco, Suneed Ahmed, Danny Vincent, Ben Shwaiko and Steven Anderson.
The team members also placed individually, with Battaglia at 53, Brunk at 77, Orozco at 126, Ahmed at 132, Vincent at 145, Shwaiko at 196 and Anderson at 210, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
