Grayslake Cares: Woman Seeking Donations for Ethiopia Trip
Natali Smith wants to volunteer in Ethiopia.
A Grayslake-based GoFundMe campaign is aiming to raise money to volunteer in Ethiopia.
Natali Smith wrote on the site that she is planning to return to Ethiopia in March 2014 to volunteer with the Hamlin Fistula Hospital.
"When I was there in 2011, I had an incredibly hard time seeing so many women there, many younger than me," she wrote. "My heart broke for them. But I have now realized that they were in the best place possible to get their lives back!"
Smith is hoping to raise $1,500. As of Dec. 4, she had raised $150 for her trip.
