Swell Dog Needs a True Home

Maggie, nickname "Swell," lost her home after a divorce. Won't you welcome her into yours?

After many years, a divorce in the family resulted in my human parents moving to apartments that didn't allow pets and I was sent back to the shelter. I'm need a true home.

I've lived with small kids and they said I was good with them. All I was ever really interested in was getting petted. I know sit, down, paw and come. I even at times do the army crawl and my friends here think I also seem to know stay.

If I feel somewhat intimidated, I bark and people sometimes are not sure about me because my bark is so loud and deep. But I am a sociable and extremely loving girl.

I love to play and while I didn't live with another dog, they said I was fine with them. I am intelligent, affectionate and easy-going and love long walks, but what I really miss is being close to my family and spending time with them, getting petted and loved.

Maggie, AKA "Swell," is a German shepherd mix, about 11 years-old, spayed, up-to-date on routine shots and rabies, heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped. She can’t wait to help your kids start the new school year...and so are all her friends at Save-A-Pet.
