Free Workshop for Science Teachers

Lake County science teachers are invited to a free workshop, "Interactive Activities and Lesson Plans in K-12 Earth Science Classrooms," on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 8 am to noon.

The Fall 2012 Science Outreach Workshop, co-sponsored by the College of Lake County Science Outreach Program and the University Center of Lake County, will be held Saturday, Nov. 3 from 8 am to noon.

This free workshop will be held in the Earth Science Center (Room A225) on CLC's Grayslake campus and is open to all K-12 science teachers.

Our topic is "Interactive Activities and Lesson Plans in K-12 Earth Science Classrooms."

Six different lessons with hands-on classroom activities will be demonstrated by teachers from five Lake County high schools and by Dr. Xiaoming Zhai, the coordinator of the CLC Science Outreach program.

Visit http://ucenter.org/educators/new-initiatives/ for the handout with a full list of the activities.

If you would like to attend the workshop, RSVP to Barbara Schau by e-mail bschau@clcillinois.edu or by calling (847) 543-2044.
