One Stop College Shopping: University Center Open House Features 19 Illinois Colleges

A free event Nov. 9 to assist adults who want to go back to school to finish a bachelor's degree, earn a master's degree, or obtain professional certification at the University Center in Grayslake.

If you’ve been thinking about going back to school, don’t miss the University Center’s last Open House for the fall on November 9 from 6 to 8 pm.  Adults looking to complete a degree program can shop close to 100 programs from 19 colleges all in one place at this free event.  The Center is located at 1200 University Center Drive, near the intersection of Washington Street and Lancer Lane, in Grayslake.

If you’ve been hesitant because you weren’t sure how you could add college classes and an additional commute to your busy work and family life, the University Center could be the solution you’ve been seeking.  We recently surveyed current students to ask them how the University Center has impacted their lives and careers.

This comment by Ashley Shultz was typical, “I have been able to make a career change and get higher education right in my backyard!”

Janel Carter reported, “The classes are conveniently located near my home, so therefore I don't have to spend a large amount of time travelling and can spend more time studying.”

Come see what we could offer you. Our academic programs are available at the University Center of Lake County in Grayslake, at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago, or via online study.  The program offerings enable students to complete a bachelor’s degree, earn a graduate degree or pursue a professional certificate. Representatives from the University Center’s member schools will be on site to answer questions and provide further information about their programs.  Information about financial aid opportunities will also be available.
