Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford Hosts I-Cash in Fox Lake Village

October 24, 2013-Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford hosted an I-Cash event in Fox Lake Village to help area residents find unclaimed property.

Rutherford talked of the program I-Cash and of its recent success.  The Unclaimed Property Division has $1.8 billion in cash, plus contents from Illinois safe deposit boxes that have been inactive for at least five years.   

Treasurer Rutherford encourages everyone to check their names often as new property is constantly being turned over to the state. A link to the Treasurer’s website is http://www.treasurer.il.gov/.
