Thank you for the outpouring of inquiries regarding the Jan 8, 2012 Salute to our Military and Veterans. We have added another sponsor: Idstein Mortgage Services, Inc. and we are still hoping for more!
Right now, Mike Pruitt of The Vine of Grayslake is hard at work co-ordinating the food for this event. There will be three locations involved, The Oasis, The Grayslake Fire Station and The Grayslake Heritage Center so we have room for a lot of participation. We would like to showcase as many of our local restaurants as we can and ask each to contribute enough for 100 guests. The best food donation would be appetizers that can be eaten without utensils, or something like pizza, which is easily eaten without being cumbersome.
