Local Veterans' Program Presents "Managing the Memories of Combat"

The Lake-McHenry Veterans and Family Services program and the Lake Villa District Library will present “Managing the Memories of Combat” on Thursday, December 5, and Thursday, December 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lake Villa District Library, 1001 E. Grand Avenue in Lake Villa. The event is free and open to the general public. Reservations are not required.

 

The event is designed to inform people about the effects of military combat on the minds of veterans. As part of the program, veterans will tell their personal stories about how they learned to manage their memories in ways that honor and support them.

The Lake-McHenry Veterans and Family Services program works through a network of agencies to help military personnel, veterans and their families face challenges, before, during and after deployments.
