Grayslake D46 Insider Hiring Exposed

Read how the Superintendent Correll and Board Members colluded behind closed doors to deceive the public in the hiring of then Board President Mike Linder.

Grayslake Elementary District 46 is currently under investigation by the Lake County State’s Attorney in regards to it’s hiring of former Board President Mike Linder. Could this investigation have been the reason Mike Linder has resigned from this contract?

Reading through the closed session minutes there are several items that stand out. First and foremost, these discussions are about a contractor and should never have been held in private. Second, the insider politics is very clear in how the board members present were engaged in how they were going to deceive the public and possibly circumvent the law.

Superintendent Correll had discussions with Mike Linder about the consulting position before these closed sessions took place.  In fact Mike linder wrote the initial contractual duties. This appears to be an abuse of power in that Mike Linder was Ellen Correll’s boss at the time of him writing his own job duties and approaching Ellen Correll about him being hired.
