Carol Joy Theisen Worked as Nurse at Advocate Condell

Services have been scheduled for Carol Joy Theisen of Grayslake.

Carol Joy Theisen, a resident of Grayslake and on the shore of Highland Lake, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at the age of 94, at her home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1919 in Wisconsin. Carol was a member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake and had worked as a nurse for many years at Condell.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Jane (Ted) Duncan and their children Bob (Meredith), Katie, Lindsay (Anu) Sharma, Ann, and her daughter, Susan (Lou) Villa-Arce and their daughter Susanne (Jason) Bettin, and her daughter, Carol (Phil) Puotinen and their children Peter (Erica), Meredith, and her son, David “Skip” (Karen) Runyon and their children Emily, Shane, and Danielle, her great-grandson Logan Bettin, and another great-grandson due in March.

Friends of the family may visit on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at United Protestant Church 54 S. Whitney St., Grayslake. Interment will be held privately.
