James R. Nardini

James  R. Nardini, 82, of Grayslake, formerly of Highland Park, passed away at home on Nov. 10. He was born in Highwood and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.  James worked for High School District 113 for 35 years. He is survived by Mary {nee Bonamarte}, his wife of 60 years; his five children Trine (Gino) Grillo, Michael (Geri) Nardini, Janis (Scott) Swanson, Robert (Leslie) Nardini, and Lynn (Lawrence) Buccieri, and his 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Nardini. A Memorial Visitation will be held at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 on Wednesday Nov. 14, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., with Memorial Mass commencing at 10 a.m.  Arrangements were entrusted to STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL, 410 E. BELVIDERE RD. Marjorie E. Schofield

Marjorie E. Schofield Marjorie E. Schofield, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Nov. 9, 2012, at the age of 72. She was born March 28, 1940 in Chicago, IL to George and Marjorie Thomas. Marjorie is survived by her children John (Charlotte) Schofield, Cindy Schofield, and Suzie (Adam) DeWulf, her grandchildren Jake and John Schofield, John Fuessl, and Amber Richardson, her brother George L. (Jeannie) Thomas, her lifelong friends Barbara Durrett and Judie Ennesser, her faithful companion Izzie, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Schofield, sister-in-law and loving friend Roberta Schofield, brother-in-law Herman Schofield, and her aforementioned parents. Darleen P. Friedlund

Darleen P. Friedlund, a resident of Round Lake Beach since 1954, passed away  Nov. 7, 2012, at the age of 83. She was born March 5, 1929 in Chicago to Joe and Edna Poole. Darleen was a past member of the Round Lake School Board and had worked for the Round Lake School District as a Teacher’s Aid and Administrative Assistant until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake and together with her husband founded the Boy Scout Pack 299 in Round Lake Beach. Darleen helped start blood drives in Round Lake Beach and was an active participant of writing letters to the newspaper editor. Darleen is survived by her children Paul (Lynn) Friedlund, Lynn (Richard) Dressler, and Lori (Charles) Davis, her grandchildren Donald (Samantha) Friedlund, Jennifer Friedlund, Amy Shilvock, Jeffrey Shilvock, and Kenneth Davis, her great-grandchildren Sean, Noah, and Ryan Friedlund, and Adler Shilvock, her sister Joan Suer, her brother Joe Poole, her cousins Ken and Jack Kolstedt, and her little pug Mister. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Rudolph Friedlund, her grandmother Jennie Klipp, and her aunt Evelyn Kolstedt.

Jean M. Foy

Jean M. Foy, a resident of Ingleside, passed away Nov. 2, 2012, at the age of 51.  She was born November 16, 1960 in Waukegan, IL to Billy and Corrina (nee: Turner) Dawson.  Jean had been a bank teller in the Fox Lake area for 30 years. Jean is survived by her husband of 16 years, Frederick, whom she wed August 3, 1996 in Round Lake, IL, her children Brian Jensen of Grayslake and Constance Jean Foy of Ingleside, her step-children Chawn (Wesley) Norton of Winthrop Harbor, Jamison (Carrie) Foy of Kenosha, Amber (Phil) Mathis of Winthrop Harbor, and Travis (Amanda) Foy of Round Lake Heights, her 7 grandchildren, and her siblings Billie Sue (David) Stilke of Charlotte, NC, Thomas (Karen) Dawson of Fredric, MI, Travis (Janice) Dawson of Miami, OK, and Tony (Ellen) Dawson of Ingleside. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bonny J. Goldberg

Bonny J. Goldberg, a 56-year-old Round Lake resident, passed away Oct. 31, 2012 at Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter in Glenview.  She was born in Midland, MI on July 9, 1956. Bonny was a member of the Life Church in Gurnee. She was the beloved wife of 28 years to Marc, whom she wed on Aug. 18, 1984 in Niles; the loving mother of Billie (Anthony) Raucci, James Steudle, Josh Steudle, and Michael Goldberg; doting grandmother of Alexis, James IV, Kirynna, Mikayla, Rachyl, Zach, and Ethan; dear sister of Jan  (Lynda) Altman, Brook (Mary) Altman, Lori (Mark) Guerra, Scott (Carmella) Altman, Robert Altman Jr., Sari Altman, and Jon Altman; cherished daughter of Robert (Sue) Altman, Sr.  Her mother Bette {nee Baldwin} Altman, and in-laws Samuel and Beverly {nee Baum} Goldberg preceded her in death. Vidella L. Sloan

Vidella L. Sloan, a resident of Round Lake Park, passed away Oct. 25, 2012, at the age of 72. She was born May 31, 1940 in Chicago to Jacob and Margaret Schintgen. Vidella was a warm, caring person, who always put family first. Vidella is survived by her son Daniel L. Sloan, her daughters Lisa Marie Cloe and Patricia Ann (Bob) Evans, three grandchildren, her brother John Schintgen, and her sister Judy Munn. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Zander Sloan and her sister, Joanne Wolf.
