Hugh E. Myers, formerly of Wildwood, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at his home in Mesa, AZ at the age of 86.
He was born May 25, 1927 in Giles County, TN to Elmer and Della Myers. Hugh owned and operated service stations for 35 years in Lake County, including Lake Villa, Grayslake, Gages Lake and North Chicago. He liked to hunt, fish, garden, bowl, and casino hop with family and friends.
Hugh was the beloved husband of Ellie Jean for 62 years, the loving father to Betty (Terry) Yarnall, Nancy (William) DeVore, and Paula (Jeff) Martin, adoring grandpa to eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters.
Friends of the family may visit Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 from 9 a.m. until noon with a funeral service commencing at noon at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
