Joann E. Nozicka was Avid Reader, Writer
Services have been scheduled for Joann E. Nozicka of Grayslake.
Joann E. Nozicka, 79, of Carillon North, Grayslake, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Advocate Condell Medical Center.
She was born in 1934 in Chicago and had been a resident of Grayslake for the past 15 years. Joann was a member of the Grayslake “Red Hats,” was a world traveler, an avid reader, writer and cook. She loved helping people and her family would refer to her as the “caregiver of the world.”
She is survived by her loving children Charles (Nancy) Nozicka, MD, Cynthia (Donald) Tidwell and Steve (Geri) Nozicka. Joann was the proud grandmother of Nicole (Kevin) Gas, Peter, Laura and Michael Nozicka, Jere (Christina) Tidwell, Steven (Tia) Tidwell, Luke Nozicka and Sam Nozicka was the dearest sister of Ruth Dwyer.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 10 at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville.
