Grayslake Library Survey Opens March 1

Help shape the future of the Grayslake Area Public Library District, which is conducting a community survey March 1-15.

Starting Friday, March 1, the Grayslake Area Public Library website, www.grayslake.info, will have a link to its Community Survey to get feedback from residents on library services.

The survey will also be available in Spanish, and there will be paper surveys at the library for those who can't respond via Internet. The survey will extend through March 15.

The library is currently working on its five-year plan. The survey results will be a component of this process along with input from a community focus group, which met in January.

The focus group was charged with reviewing current social, demographic and economic trends and analyzing the community’s and the library’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

"Ideas generated by the focus group will help us decide how to change the services and collections we offer," said Roberta Thomas, library director.
