Grayslake Police Seek Public Comment for Accreditation

The accreditation assessment team invites the public to comment on the management and operations of the Grayslake Police Department Monday, Nov. 12, at the Village Hall.

A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), will be in town this weekend to examine all aspects of the Grayslake Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services, Chief Phil Perlini announced.

“Verification by the team that the Grayslake Police Department meets the commission’s over 400 standards is part of a voluntary process to gain re-accreditation – a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence”, he said.
