SHOUT OUT: GNHS Dance Coach Changes Things Up Her First Year

Keeley Thode has been dancing since she was 3 years old and was on the Antioch Varsity team all 4 years of high school.

She was involved in the dance program while attending the University of Iowa for Secondary English Education. Now she is teaching English at Grayslake North and experiencing her first year of coaching the North Dance team.

Thode changed it up a bit this year and admittedly saw the challenges with a new coach and a different routine.

"We decided to do a slightly different routine this year", said Thode, "including high energy, fast pace, and more technique."

The North team looked good this year, but couldn't quite bring it all together enough to qualify for state.

"These girls are dedicated, motivated, and hard-working, I am extremely proud of our success", said Thode.  T

here is a lot of hard work that goes into getting the routine down. Lets hear a bit shout out to the Grayslake North Dance Team and coach Keeley - keep it up and we'll see you at State next year girls!
