Everyone send a big shout out to Brenden Bolman (North) and Kirk Dickson (Central) who both qualified to compete at the IHSA State Competition this weekend. Both of these kids are phenomenal swimmers and it is only an extremely small percentage of athletes that are able to qualify to get to this event.
Both Brenden and Kirk swam Friday in the Prelims competition. Brenden went on to the finals competition today and finished 10th overall - IN THE STATE!! How about that! Give it up for both these guys!
They both train and swim competitively for a club team called Cats Aquatics in Libertyville, since neither of their schools have found their way to favor swimming enough to build a pool! -- good to see young perseverance! Check out the pictures from the event.
