It has been a big news week with the State of the Union address, the Republican debates and more. There is a lot of political bickering going on. So we decided to take a break from reality and daydream a little bit.
We're just askin'...What would you do if money were no object?
Think about it. Say you just won the Multi-Billion Dollar lottery and it is all yours, free and clear. More money than you could ever spend. Even the IRS doesn't get any. (We have that kind of power.)
Would you take a cruise around the world? Go on safari? Move to Australia? Buy the Cubs and bring in all new players? Quit your job and watch sports all day on a 70-inch TV in your basement eating nothing but steak and lobster?
In this little scenario, your close family members and/or spouse and/or your kids and pets are all taken care of. They don't need a cent (OK we clearly have gone off the deep end here). You don't have to give your newfound cash to anyone but you.
So...tell us in the comments. You can do anything - what do you do?
We'll jump in and share too, but you are the stars of this game.
(For legal reasons, please note that no actual money will be awarded.)
these are the people I would help, I would just like a 2 bedroom condo near my kids, and I would be very content.
Some (not all) of the baseball fields would be turned in to community gardens. Near the back would be the apiary. Part of the building would be remodeled to have a greenhouse with aquaponics. Of course a solar, wind, geothermal retrofit would also be in order. Since it would be an arts center as well, I would have art, woodworking, metals shop, foreign language, and any other classes that were cut from D-26 available for all students for free. Ah...dare to dream...
