Bako to Pay $17,000 in Restitution to PTO
A settlement was reached prior to a planned court hearing Jan. 24, the Daily Herald reports.
The Frederick School PTO learned Jan. 24 how much money they will receive in restitution from Elizabeth S. Bako of Grayslake.
Though Bako was slated to appear in court Jan. 24, a settlement was reached prior to the hearing, the Daily Herald reports. Bako will pay $17,000 in restitution, according to the Daily Herald.
Bako was charged with two counts of felony theft, one for theft of $10,000 to $100,000 and the other for theft of $500 to $10,000. She had also been charged with two counts of unlawful purchase with a credit or debit card, according to the Lake County Circuit Clerk's Office.
She agreed in court Dec. 5 to pay $10,000 in restitution to the Frederick School PTO, the Daily Herald reported. Bako entered a guilty plea Dec. 19 in Lake County court for stealing from the PTO and was sentenced to 24 months of probation, according to the Daily Herald.
