A dispatch alert issued at 6:19 p.m. reported that the collision occurred at Route 134 and Porter, and that the crash involves "heavy damage."
According to a Metra service advisory, outbound trains on the Milwaukee District/North Line have been stopped in Round Lake "due to a grade crossing incident involving train No. 2129."
