Power lines fell and sparked a fire on a shed Wednesday afternoon on the 18000 block of Timber Lane in Wildwood.
Grayslake Deputy Fire Chief Greg Formica said a tree branch fell, causing the power lines to fall onto the shed.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly, Formica said, but the shed and its contents could not be saved. He estimated the loss at $8,000 to $10,000.
Formica added that nobody was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
ComEd crews are on the scene working to restore power.
