Former Bulls Player Accused of Sex Assault for Grabbing Vernon Hills Gym Employee

Rick Brunson is accused of grabbing an employee of LifeTime Fitness in Vernon Hills, according to media reports.

Rick Brunson, a former Bulls player and coach, faces sex assault charges for grabbing an employee at a Life Time Fitness in Vernon Hills, according to the Daily Herald. 

The 42-year-old was charged on June 25 with criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery and criminal sexual assault, the newspaper reports. 

Life Time Fitness has launched an internal investigation and is working with police to gather details in the case, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Brunson was a Chicago Bulls player and later an assistant coach, according to CBS Chicago. He played for 8 NBA teams from 1997 to 2006 and has been an assistant coach for several pro and college teams, CBS Chicago reports. 

Brunson's son, Jalen, will be a senior at Stevenson High School and averaged 26.1 points last season, according to the Chicago Tribune.
