Grayslake Firefighter Blood Donor Challenge June 16

One donation can save three lives.

Join firefighters from the Grayslake Fire Department in giving blood. The Firefighters Blood Drive takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 16. 

Come out to the , in downtown Grayslake. 

"Last year, we collected 52 units of blood," said Greg Formica, deputy chief. "We would love to collect even more this year."

People who donate are encouraged to eat a good meal and drink extra water before donating. Donors also need to bring an ID with them, either a drivers license or a Social Security card.

Walk-ins are welcomed but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment or for more information, contact Ingrid Skidmore at 847-225-8960.
