Grayslake Hires Jack McKeever As Acting Police Chief

Former Lindenhurst police Chief Jack McKeever will take over as acting chief in Grayslake, filling in for Matt McCutcheon, who is on administrative leave after receiving DUI charges.

Grayslake hired former Lindenhurst Police Chief Jack McKeever to serve as acting police chief, the village announced late Wednesday morning.

McKeever begins his duties today and is taking over for Chief Matthew McCutcheon, who is on administrative leave after being charged with DUI.

McKeever's "years of experience as a police chief in our area makes Jack well suited to assist Grayslake," Mayor Rhett Taylor said in a written statement. "Our police department staff provides outstanding service to the Grayslake and Hainesville communities and the new acting chief will help ensure that this continues uninterrupted.”
