Grayslake Officers Participate in Shop with a Cop

Police officers from Grayslake, Lindenhurst, Gurnee, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Beach, the College of Lake County and Glenview made the Christmas season brighter for underprivileged children earlier this month at the annual Shop with a Cop event.

About 40 area children were treated to a holiday shopping spree at the Gurnee Target store, where they were able to choose gifts for their families with money donated by the community.

Grayslake Det. Sgt. Jeff Myhra coordinated the event. Participating Grayslake police officers included:

Chief Philip Perlini, Shawn Peterson, Karin Shepherd, David McNamara, Gregg Hatter, Stephen Kueber, Rita Stang, Eric McNeil, Mario Balarin, Guy Fiasche, Chuck Foy, Stephen Teschner, Amy Guzman, Scott Heimos, Randy Hegland, Joe Holtz, Heather Andrews and Jacqueline Veasey.

Other area officers participating included: Mike Dalbiak, CLC; Lukasz Walaszek, CLC;  Henry Campos, Round Lake Park District; Pat Sewell, Round Lake Park District; Pat O'Connell, Round Lake Heights; Gil Rivera, Round Lake Beach; Sandy Rapey, Lindenhurst; Chuck Esdale, Lindenhurst; Ron Conley, Gurnee; and Brent Reynolds, Myron Wilson, Jim Degroot, Melinda Dragicevich and Dan Marsh, from Glenview.
