Grayslake Police Blotter - DUI, Drugs

Recent local arrests for DUIs, drugs and more, taken from the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Joel R. Reinoehl, 30, of 1330 Woodside Ct., Grayslake, was charged with improper lane usage, driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating a vehicle with expired registration, consumption of alcoholic liquor under the age of 21, and unlawful use of a weapon. He was stopped on April 2 in the 1300 block of Woodside Court in Grayslake. He was released on $1,000 bond pending a court date of April 24.

Scott A. Howell, 48, of 7 Esther Street, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license for a second DUI, and improper lane usage. He was stopped on April 7 near Washington Street and Atkinson Road. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a court date of May 16.

Christopher K. Hamic, 22, of 17250 Huntington Circle, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more and following too closely. He was stopped on April 8 near Route 120 and Hainesville Road. He was released on a $1,000 bond pending a court day of May 8.

Jean B. Rutagwabira, 18, of 308 Christine Lane., Hainesville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to signal, squealing tires and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was stopped on April 7 near Rollins Road and Hook Drive. She was released on $3,000 bond pending a court date of May 1.

William A. Reed, 19, of 818 Cherry Creek Drive, Grayslake, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped on April 7 near Rollins Road and Hook Drive.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond pending a court date of May 23.

Aleksandar Jovanovic, 18, of 1253 Essex Ct. , Grayslake, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was stopped on April 7 near Rollins Road and Hook Drive. He was released on a personal recognizance bond pending a court date of May 23.

DRUGS

Oscar Rodriguez, 18, of Beach Park, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped on April 7 at 1809 Country Drive. He was released on $1,000 bond pending a court date of May 1.

LICENSE VIOLATIONS

Dana L. Obrien, 33, of 6614 23rd Ave., Kenosha, Wis., was charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license.  She was stopped on April 6 near Washington Street and Route 45.  She was released on $1,500 bond pending a court date of May 16.

WARRANT

Brandon K. Beal, 21, of 27 Lincoln Ave., Grayslake, was taken into custody on an in-state warrant for violation of an order of protection. He was stopped on April 10 at 320 N. Rte. 45. He was taken to the Lake County Jail.
