Grayslake Police Blotter: DUI, Traffic, Warrants

Recent arrests made from the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

Ty P. Omara, 60, of 265 Heather Ave., Grayslake, was charged Oct. 21 with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured vehicle at Highland Road and N. Route 83. He was released on a $1,000 I-bond and his license pending a Nov. 20 court date.

Susan E. Aiple, 63, of 216 Exchange Ave., Louisville, KY, was charged Oct. 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal, improper signal, improper lane usage and failure to yield to emergency vehicles at S. Atkinson Road and E. Route 120. She was released on a $3,000 I-bond pending a Nov. 21 court date.

Nolan F. Ramotar, 28, of 33510 N. Lakeshore Dr., Grayslake, was charged Oct. 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at E. Washington Street and N. Route 83. He was released on a $1,000 I-bond pending a Nov. 6 court date.

Buenaventure Navarreta, 31, of 700 Brittany Square, Grayslake, was charged Oct. 13 with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended/revoked license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at Route 83 and Center Street. He was taken to jail.

Traffic

Edwine Magallan Jr., 33, of 121 E. Pineview Dr., Grayslake, was charged Oct. 20 with driving with a suspended/revoked license at W. Washington Street and Haryan Way. He was released on a $1,500 I-bond pending a Nov. 21 court date.

Stephanie P. Brown, 31, of 1915 Country Dr., Apt. 202, Grayslake, was charged Oct. 17 with driving with a suspended/revoked license, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle with expired registration at Commerce Drive and Center Street. She was released on a $2,000 I-bond pending a Nov. 21 court date.

Maria N. Hernandez, 38, of 1206 Brookside Ave., Waukegan, was charged Oct. 13 with driving with a suspended/revoked license and no taillights  at E. Route 120 and S. Atkinson Road. She was released on a $1,500 I-bond pending a Nov. 21 court date.

Video taping

Juan A. Rocha, 34, of Waukegan, was charged Oct. 18 with unlawfully video taping another person without consent in the residence in the 100 block of Burton Street. He was held for bond court.

Warrants

Randall M. Haapanen, 30, of 365 Neville Dr., Grayslake, was taken into custody on an in-state warrant. He was taken to jail.

Averell L. Spicer Jr., 25, of 1800 Wedgewood Dr., Gurnee, was taken into custody Oct. 16 on an in-state warrant for enhanced unlawful use of a weapon within 1,000 feet of a school and park. He was taken to jail.
