Original story: Grayslake police are investigating the cause of a crash that occurred Monday morning near Routes 45 and 120 that may have resulted in a boy being ejected from a vehicle.

Deputy Fire Chief Greg Formica said when crews arrived on the scene, the father of the boy had already taken the boy to their nearby home.

He said there were conflicting stories as to whether or not the boy had been ejected from the vehicle, "so we left it up to the police to figure out."
