How Much Does a DUI Conviction Cost in Illinois?
The cost of a DUI conviction in Illinois just got a little more expensive.
Just how much could a conviction for driving under the influence cost you in Illinois?
Such a conviction could now cost a driver even more, thanks to a new law that took effect Jan. 1. According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, drivers who refuse a breath test and are subject to a blood test must now cover the cost of that blood test if he or she is found guilty or pleads guilty. The cost to perform the blood test could be up to $500.
