Indictments Handed Down in Grayslake Home Invasion

Two men have been indicted in connection with the Sept. 28, 2012, home invasion in Grayslake's College Trail.

A Lake County grand jury indicted two men in connection with last September's home invasion in the 1000 block of Manchester Circle in Grayslake's College Trail subdivision.

Jovan Martin, 20, of Waukegan, and Devaughn Thompson, 19, of Zion, have been charged with home invasion, armed robbery, armed violence and aggravated unlawful restraint, reported the Lake County News-Sun.

Initial police reports said three suspects allegedly unlawfully entered the townhome of two brothers then restrained and robbed them at gunpoint, reported Patch. The suspects then led police on a five-hour manhunt that involved a helicopter, police dogs and thermal imaging cameras after they crashed their car into an electric pole on Atkinson Road near Brae Loch Road then fled on foot.
