Ingleside Mother and Son Arrested for Drug Induced Homicide

An Ingleside mother and son are in jail after being arrested for the drug induced homicide of a 30-year-old man the son was partying with.

A mother and son have been arrested for drug induced homicide in connection with the Sept. 18 death of a 30-year-old Ingleside man.

Class X Drug Induced Homicide warrants were issued Tuesday for Brian Stedronsky, 32, and his mother, Carolyn Stedronsky, 52, who reside in the 34000 Block of Oden Ave., Ingleside, reported the Lake County Sheriff's Department.

The warrants were served by sheriff's detectives.

Mother and son appeared in bond court Wednesday. Brian Stedronsky was remanded to the Lake County Jail on $300,000 bond. Carolyn Stedronsky is in jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Both are scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Dec. 11.

The case involves the death of Jeffery Ferris, 30, of the 35000 block of N. Milwaukee Ave., Ingleside, who purchased prescription drugs from Brian Stredronsky and died after taking ingesting them during a night of partying.

Ferris sucked the medication out of two Fentanyl patches that Brian Stedronsky told sheriff's detectives he sold to Ferris.

After partying, Stedronsky and his aunt dropped Ferris off at his home at about 1 a.m. on Sept. 18. Sheriff detectives were called to death investigation at the Ferris home at 9 p.m. that night.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office later ruled Ferris’ death a homicide.

Detectives learned that Brian Stedronsky tried several times to call Ferris then reached out to his house mate, who had to force his way into the man’s bedroom, reported the Lake County News-Sun.

Brian Stedronsky admitted to sheriff's detectives it was not the first time he sold the patches to Ferris after purchasing them from his own mother.

Carolyn Stedronsky told detectives the Fentanyl patches belonged to her husband, who was prescribed the medication for an injury.

Information provided by the Lake County Sheriff's Department.
