He had previously counseled the girl, who is a ward of the state.

A 51-year-old Waukegan man who has worked as a counselor in Lake Co. was charged this week with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl whom he had previously counseled, according to the Daily Herald.

Kelvin A. Perry, of Waukegan, was charged Tuesday with criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse after police said he had sex with the girl at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, according to an article in the Chicago Tribune.

The Tribune article says police are not identifying the social service agency so as not to identify the victim. The agency has been notified and police are not aware of any other potential victims, the article states.
