Lake County Man Convicted of Fifth DUI

Dave Anderson, 51, of Antioch ran a stop sign at Ringwood and Johnsburg roads in McHenry.

After only 10 minutes of deliberating Wednesday, a jury found a 51-year-old Antioch man guilty of drunken driving while two children, ages 8 and 10, were passengers in his car, according to a press release from the McHenry County State's Attorney Office. 

He was convicted Wednesday on an aggravated charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the state's attorney office press release. 

Dave Anderson ran a stop sign and was pulled over at the intersection of Ringwood and Johnsburg roads in McHenry. Anderson failed field sobriety tests and told police he drank four to five beers, according to the news release. 

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17. Anderson is not eligible for probation.
