Leave The Fireworks to the Pros

Most fireworks are prohibited in the Village of Grayslake, and setting them off on your own could inspire police to fine you $2,500.

The wants to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July. They will, however, be enforcing the state and local laws regarding fireworks.

In brief: most fireworks are illegal.

  • Fountains
  • Noisemakers
  • Firecrackers
  • Smoke Bombs

The Grayslake Police Department will be enforcing the laws leading up to and on July 4. Any Violation of the laws could result in a Class A Misdemeanor, with penalties of up to one year in jail and a fine of $2,500.
