Grayslake Fire Department officials are investigating the cause of a fire that occurred at a residence on the 33000 block of Indian Lane Monday morning.
Battalion Chief Joris Lillge said the fire occurred on the rear porch at the home.
"It was extinguished pretty quickly," Lillge said.
There was minimal damage to the house itself, he said, and the residents weren't displaced.
A dollar estimate on the damage is not yet available, Lillge added.
