Officials Investigating Death of 34-Year-Old Grayslake Man

Anthony Damore, of the 400 block of Slusser Street, was found dead in the snow Wednesday.

The Lake County Coroner's Office is still trying to determine what caused the death of a 34-year-old man who was found dead in the snow outside of his apartment building.

Anthony Damore, of the 400 block of Slusser Street, was found dead Wednesday.

"We're doing a drug analysis, and that does take several days. We can't rush that," said Lake County Coroner Thomas Rudd. "There was nothing found that can account for the death autopsy-wise."

Rudd said a drug overdose is suspected "because of a past history."

Overall, Rudd said drug overdose deaths are dropping in Lake County. There were 79 overdoses in 2012, which represents a 6 percent drop from 2011, when there were 84 overdoses, Rudd said. There were 92 overdoses in 2010, he said.
