A car that crashed into a Mundelein home Tuesday morning could be connected to a death investigation currently underway in Island Lake, police told the Daily Herald Tuesday.
The car was reportedly stolen from Island Lake Monday night and crashed into a home in the 1100 block of Diamond Lake Road about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday following a brief police chase, according to the article.
Police responded to a call regarding an employee's purse that was stolen from the Gale Street Inn, 935 Diamond Lake, Tuesday morning and briefly pursued the suspect who sped up and crashed into the home, according to CBC Chicago.
The driver of the car is considered a "person of interest" in an Island Lake death, according to CBS Chicago.
