Police Blotter: Alcohol, Battery, Drug Arrests

The Grayslake Police Department reports arrests from Oct. 27-30.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Adam M. Dunham, 33, of 18 W. Big Horn Drive, Hainesville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 27 near West Big Horn Drive and Hainesville Road. He was also cited for DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. He was released on $1,000 bond and his drivers license pending a Nov. 26 court date.

Karen M. Cohen, 45, of 1105 Chadwick Drive, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Oct. 28 on the 800 block of Cherry Creek Drive. She was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and fail to reduce speed/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on $1,000 bond and her drivers license pending a Nov. 19 court date.

Battery

David J. Paulus, 44, of 49 S. Whitney St., Grayslake, was charged with battery-simple Oct. 28 on Seymour Avenue. He was released on $1,200 bond pending a Nov. 28 court date.

Drugs

Zerin Begimamovic, 27, of 1 Forest Lane, Cary, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or combination of drugs Oct. 28 near Manchester Circle and Cambridge Drive. He was also cited for leaving the scene of an accident - vehicle damage and improper lane usage. He was released on $1,000 bond and his drivers license pending a Nov. 12 court date.

Amanada M. Ortiz, 19, of 2544 Woodview Court, Waukegan, was charged with possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams Oct. 28 on the 1800 block of Country Drive. She was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. She was taken to bond court.

Traffic

Patrick S. Stastny, 21, of 2102 Crescent Ave., Waukegan, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license Oct. 30 near Route 120 and Atkinson Road. He was also cited for speeding. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a Nov. 20 court date.
